For the second last talk of the year, we are welcoming 6 representatives from Guidehouse (4 of whom are Imperial College London graduates!) to give a lecture on carbon pricing and investment and capital needed for the energy transition. Sebastian Foot is a Director based in the London office where he advises financial clients on low-carbon investment strategies. Since graduating from Imperial with an Environmental Technology MSc in 2003, he has worked in management consulting, banking and FinTech. Career highlights include launching one of the first crowdfunding platforms dedicated to renewable energy investments, the financing of more than Β£100 million of solar assets in the UK and the launch of a pan-African carbon trading platform for Standard Bank. https://www.navigant.com/professionals/f/foot-sebastian

Mark Livingstone is a Director in Guidehouse’s Energy, Sustainability and Infrastructure practice with more than 30 years’ experience navigating change in energy, utilities and telecoms sectors. His strengths include strategy development, economic analysis, business planning, support for major commercial decisions and leading teams to address complex business challenges. Key clients include major energy companies, governments and investors. Sagie Evbenata is a Managing Consultant in our London office where he focuses on e-mobility and multi-model mobility solutions. Since, graduating from Imperial with his MBA, Sagie was a Business Strategist at Ford Smart Mobility (FSM), driving forward the vision of a connected, electrified, and autonomous future. He innovated and trailed mobility services and smart city initiatives and developed business models to support Ford’s transformation from being a traditional automaker to a mobility service provider.

Jialiang Zhang is a Managing Consultant based in London. He brings with him over 14 years of experience in the climate change sector, in both a technical and management capacity. Liang’s areas of expertise include carbon pricing policies, carbon offsets, market-based mechanisms, MRV and GHG accounting as well as the design and implementation of GHG mitigation projects and programmes. He was a core member of the team that helped to design Singapore’s National Carbon Tax and the technical lead that assisted in the design of the CDM MRV system for the Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy’s Noor I concentrated solar plant. Liang holds a master’s degree in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and is also a Practitioner of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.

Anthony Wang recently joined Guidehouse as a Consultant, where he works with energy companies and large corporates to create and implement business strategies on topics related to energy, transportation, and decarbonisation. He holds an MSc Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College London and a BEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Edinburgh. https://www.linkedin.com/in/anthonywang96
