Annual calendar highlight, Chiltern Street Christmas, returns to Marylebone on Thursday 28 November, with a line-up of live performances, festive workshops, a community-driven design project, food and drink from some of the area’s best restaurants and in-store promotions. 

 Free to attend, guests can channel their inner artist and learn new skills with a programme of complimentary creative workshops, led by talented local experts; florist, Moyses Stevenswill host a wreath-making workshop, whilst, for one night only, Casely-Hayford is inviting guests to contribute creatively to a blank canvas, that will then be crafted into an exclusive garment by the renowned designer. 

Shoppers can create their own jewellery and Christmas decorations with jeweller, Cox & Power, and Dashing Tweedsis inviting shoppers to create Christmas tree bunting and headbands using recycled Tweed off-cuts. Concept store, Mouki Mou, will also be teaching techniques to reinvent your pre-loved garments with a clothing repair workshop.  Guests can enjoy a skilled calligraphy workshop hosted by Baker Street Quarter Partnership, and create their own Mantra art using string and paint in partnership with Chiltern Street’s sitar shop, Jas Musicals, and artist Juss Kaur.

A festive street food market not to be missed, Marylebone’s renowned eateries will offer a selection of food and drink to stave off the cold; from hot toddies, espresso martinis and oysters by Chiltern Firehouse, to mulled wine and spiced apple juice at Monocle Café. Lurrawill be serving up tasty txuleta pintxos, and restaurant and wine shop, Vinoteca, will be cooking braised beef short rib with caramelised onions and horseradish rolls and serving mulled wine.  Scotland’s oldest independent whisky bottler, Cadenhead’s,is collaborating withSeymour’s Parlour at The Zetter Townhouse Marylebone on a whisky bar with Swedish distillery Mackmyra, and hosting complementary walk-in whisky tasting sessions. Michelin star restaurant, Trishna, will be cooking Indian plates.

Making the Christmas shopping process even easier and more enjoyable, luxury candlemaker,Cire Trudonwill have an immersive scent shopping experience in-store. Shoppers can get their Christmas gifts personalised, with Trunk Clothiersoffering personalisation on socks and scarves, andHamilton & Hareproviding a monogramming service on any item bought in store.  Atlas Galleryis hosting the LIFE Magazine exhibition launch with drinks in store, while John Simonswill have a book signing of Simon Whittle and Graham Marsh’s new book, RONNIE SCOTT’S 1959-69, with drinks and music in-store. Handmade leather shoemaker, Sabah, will have Christmas treats from Turkey and America, and new Italian shoe store, Valesca, will have electronic-swing music and Italian gin cocktails, plus a talk with the designer of their latest collection on the intricacies of craft.

There will be an array of live music and instrumental performances throughout the evening on the street, including a mesmerising harpist performance, a soulful solo by London-based pianist and vocalist, Kiara, and The Sylvia Young Theatre School Choir will be singing some Christmas musical classics.  In partnership with JAS Musicals, Indian drumming troop, Elite Drummers, will perform traditional bhangra beats with a contemporary fusion.

Places on the workshops will be offered on a first come, first served basis, so shoppers are encouraged to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
