Co-Creation Event

We are delighted to invite you to our Co-Creation event, a creative business network forum focussed on bringing together and supporting businesses, freelancers and residents looking for opportunities in the creative industries sector.

It’s evident that post covid the creative industry has been one of the most disaffected sectors and needs considerable long-term recovery support to develop and grow. There are new opportunities in the local borough which can be harnessed as part of the recovery and this event will build upon the information shared by businesses at our previous network forum, where we would like to discuss with you the following topics:

• Help to shape training providers course skills delivery to meet your business needs

• How we can help business and SMEs to understand and evaluate training and upskilling needs

• Help to shape our support for Creative Freelancers to survive and thrive in the creative industry

With Waltham Forest recently being announced as a successful partner in the Mayor of London’s Academy programme* this year, one of our aims is to set up an active Creative Industries Hub for north east London to connect job seekers with quality jobs and training in the Creative sector. The Co-Creation event will help to provide a necessary platform to support this goal where business and employer needs are heard and local job seekers can meet with prospective employers. Light refreshments will be served.

* The Mayor’s Academy programme is a £44m investment to provide funding for leading training providers to establish hubs allowing jobseekers to reskill and supporting disadvantaged Londoners into free adult learning.
