How and why Kubernetes operator for Cassandra was developed, how it works and what problems it can solve for you. It is using already existing Operator SDK framework and leverages as much as possible to naturally fit into the already existing ecosystem. Cassandra operator for Kubernetes by Instaclustr as a young project which matures fast. It can already scale up and down a cluster across availability zones on-demand, it is possible to deploy your cluster to various clouds and last but not least, it is able to restore your cluster from the external backup while still remaining in Kubernetes realm. Cassandra operator is very useful for fast prototyping and development on top of it and it frees developers from spending time on cluster setup unnecessarily which tends to be time-consuming and error-prone.
