Delivering Performance in the Workplace of the Future

The Needs of Strangers - Delivering Performance in the Workplace of the Future

This event is a joint collaboration between BOOM Collective and WME Global.

An evening conference addressing the betterment of the built environment, focussing on the workplace of 2030 and how to achieve successful operational outcomes and more reliable delivery. With broader project briefs covering Design for Performance, Wellness, BREEAM and other occupant comfort and operational cost issues, greater transparency and accountability is required from brief-making through to occupation. The role of professional designers is evolving from focusing on “handover” to a “Plan for Use”.

This informal seminar will include:

  • Gary Clark, Lead Principal science and technology EMEA HOK and chair of the RIBA’s sustainable futures group, setting out the RIBA’s inclusion of building performance guidance and “Plan for Use” within the RIBA’s current Plan of Work.
  • Dr Roderic Bunn from BOOM presenting a mix of UCL academic research and real world project performance, offering a new focus on measuring and maintaining occupant comfort and satisfaction for office buildings.
  • James Warne from BOOM will act as chair for the event.

Doors open at 5:30, with discussions at 6:30 lasting approx 1hr, with drinks and canapés provided throughout.
