Designing our Futures: The 2023 RSA Student Design Awards

Join us for this special event celebrating the 2022/23 RSA Student Design Awards programme and the power of design to shift systems and shape the future.

The 2023 SDA keynote address will be delivered by award-winning filmmaker, designer and futurist, Anab Jain RDI.

Anab is the co-founder of pioneering speculative design and experiential futures company Superflux, and she serves as Professor for Design Investigations at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna, where her hope is to instil a culture of radical enquiry in her students, so they can become active designers-translators-catalysts for a complex and uncertain world.

Following the address, the RSA’s Director of Design, Joanna Choukeir will present the 2023 awards, sharing an overview of each winning project, and inviting the people behind these inspiring ideas on stage to receive their awards.

The ceremony will be followed by a drinks reception in the RSA Benjamin Franklin Room – all welcome!

The RSA Student Design Awards is a global open innovation competition that's been running since 1924. We challenge students and recent graduates to tackle pressing social, environmental and economic issues and propose creative solutions that can shift the system and shape the future.
