How can science both be true and constantly changing as new evidence comes to light? Is there even such a thing as scientific truth? In this workshop we will explore the nature of scientific knowledge and what it really tells us.
We will journey through the theories of philosophers and scientists about how we can use reason and observation to learn about the world, illustrated with stories and examples from the history of science.
We will discover what scientists believe about how science works, how it influences the way that they carry out research, and what this can teach us all about life in a world where we are drowning in information.
The event will be followed by a drinks reception
