Esk Valley with Gordon Russell | New Zealand Wine Tasting

It takes practice to taste and understand the complexity of our New Zealand wines, so why not pop down to Pop Brixton on Tuesday 15th October for a rustic wine tasting event to meet our Esk valley famous winemaker Gordon Russell and his selection of fine Hawke’s Bay wines…

Once upon a time (1933), a British man named Bird 'set foot' on New Zealand soil to establish Glenvale winery and cellars. Today, this winery based in the Marlborough region, is now home to Esk Valley and not only offers one of New Zealand's most popular wines, the famous Sauvignon Blanc, but also panoramic views over the Pacific Ocean.

"Winemaking doesn’t get much more ‘hands on’ than this" says our Kiwi winemaker Gordon Russell. Hand-plunged winemaking may not be the sexiest labour task...but the outcome surely makes our man attractive as he delights our taste buds!

His wines are iconically hand crafted, you might be lucky enough to taste some of his Rosé, Verdelho, Red blends and many more that we love!

As always our tastings run on a first come first served basis, by signing up to this event you still need to arrive at our venue by 6pm to secure your place on our list. The list opens at 5.30pm! These tastings are casual and relaxed and we encourage you to buy a bottle (in exchange for your free tasting) as a thank you to the winery for hosting this event with us.
