IOActive invites you to the January edition of HACK::SOHO, a monthly cybersecurity event at our central London office. Join fellow hackers, tech-heads, enthusiasts, and visionaries for food, cold beer, and hot cybersecurity talk.
This month we are welcoming Andrew Yeomans - CISO for Arqit. Previously Andrew led Information Security Engineering, Architecture and Strategy for Lloyds Bank, Commerzbank and Dresdner Kleinwort Investment Bank for 18 years. Andrew was on the management board of the Jericho Forum, an international thought-leadership group solving the security issues of a collaborative, deperimeterised world.
Quantum Photons from Outer Space - The War of the Secrets
The emergence of quantum computing means that mainstream encryption techniques will be compromised. Arqit is leading a pan-European consortium building a commercial Quantum Cryptography satellite network to counter this threat. This talk will explain the quantum computing threats, how the Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) technology works, and what actions you can take.
Engage in the discussion, ask questions, learn new things, and network, all while enjoying drinks and music. The bar opens at 18:00, the food arrives at 18:15, and the talk will start at 19:00. Don't be late! :-)
Cheers,
The IOActive Team
