ABOUT THE EVENT

To mark the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Holborn Viaduct walks tracing the royal opening of the Holborn Viaduct and Blackfriars Bridge in 1869 (choice of two dates offered). Lester Hillman will trace a thousand years of transportation dating back to the saxons and before as well as colourful local heritage. The area could justifiably be called Frankensteinia and the walks will uncover a wealth of medieval, political and literary associations.
