How can technology and media support diversity?

Business & Professional

Technology is stretching into areas of business that were previously thought imaginable – is the next step in supporting diversity?

What role can technology and media play in supporting equality and diversity in workplaces? What are the tools that organisations need for their EDI initiatives to really thrive?

Join us in the fabulous setting of our Dyson School of Design Engineering's new Design Library as we explore the business case for using technology to encourage and enable more diverse workplaces, with insights from some top industry names:

  • Pamela Hutchinson, Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Bloomberg LP
  • Ben Hunte, the BBC's first ever LGBT correspondent
  • Pedro Pina, Vice President of Global Client and Agency Solutions in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Google

The opening address will be delivered by the Provost of Imperial College London, Professor Ian Walmsley FRS; we will also be announcing more speakers shortly.

Imperial College London is consistently named the UK's most innovative university (Reuters Top 100: Europe’s Most Innovative Universities) and is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.

This event, organised by Imperial 600, the College's network for LGBTQ+ staff, postgraduate students and their allies, is also a chance to meet and network over post-event drinks with members of the College community.
