How To Get The Shot: an interior designers' guide to working with a photographer, stylist and PR consultant

Business & Professional

The BIID invites interior designers to attend this insightful panel evening with photographer James Balston, stylist Laura Fulmine and PR consultant Jenny Parker in conversation with BIID Past President Daniel Hopwood at the stylish Lombok showroom on Tottenham Court Road, London.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Interior designers deal in inspiring interiors, but how do they ensure that they get the best documentation of these spaces for their portfolio, website content and social media feed?

Join the BIID as we hear from a photographer, a stylist and a PR consultant about the various routes to engaging the services of their professions when looking to create and market unique branding opportunities and how to make the most out of everyone’s time and budget.

We will be asking;
•    What is the ‘road map’ to setting up the perfect shoot
•    How do you brief the professional you’ve paid for?
•    How do you make the most out of your one-day shoot?
•    Is a magazine cover still the holy grail or has Instagram disrupted the status quo?

Programme

5.30 – Welcome drinks and nibbles
6.00 – Panel discussion
7.00 – Networking drinks
8.00 – End

WHAT YOU WILL LEAVE WITH

Insight into the working partnerships that can be fostered between interior designers and photographers, stylists and PR consultants to ensure that time, money and expectations are appropriately managed when coordinating shoots and press.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Professional interior designers and students of interior design.
