IntechOpen and Knowledge Unlatched would like to invite you to an evening at The Shard in London, for a lecture given by Prof. Ali G Hessami, entitled - 'Harnessing Knowledge, Innovation and Competence in Engineering of Mission Critical Systems'.

The invited lecture series is intended to promote the expansion of the IntechOpen and Knowledge Unlatched are collaboratively aiming to fund more than 500 Open Access books in the field of Engineering and Physics.
Prof. Ali Hessamiβs (Visiting Professor at London City Universityβs Centre for Systems and Control and at Beijing Jiaotong University) forthcoming book is funded using the Knowledge Unlatched crowdfunding model, which raises the funding for production costs through libraries around the world, to ensure that publication will be free of charge for authors. In turn the initiative seeks to open up global and free access to the latest engineering and physics research and knowledge for both authors and readers alike.
The evening of the 10th October will be an interesting experience, providing insight into Prof. Ali Hessamiβs research and a platform for discussion around the successful transformation of knowledge into personal and social value, a chance to network with like-minded people over a glass of wine/soft drink, whilst enjoying the breath-taking views of London at night!
Peter Mitchell and Natalia Reinic Babic from IntechOpen will be available to discuss how prospective authors can access the fund for future book projects.
The Director of Sales, Mirela Roncevic from Knowledge Unlatched, will also be present at the lecture to help you understand the mechanisms of Open Access and the collaborative funding of institutions.
