Islington Violence Reduction Week - Launch Event

Community & Culture

You are invited to the launch of Islington's Violence Reduction Engagement Week

Islington Council are drafting our new Violence Reduction Strategy, setting out our vision for reducing serious violence and crime – to make Islington a safer borough for all.

We are inviting everyone who lives and works in Islington to get involved in our Violence Reduction Engagement Week, 27 September – 3 October. Community spaces across the borough will host a range of events and activities for you to share your experiences and feedback.

We’re kicking off this exciting week with our launch event on Monday 27 September, at Islington Assembly Hall.

Throughout the evening, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Hear from key speakers in the violence reduction space.
  • Network with people involved in violence reduction work.
  • Share your thoughts and feedback on the Violence Reduction Strategy and how we can make Islington a safer spacer for all

Doors open at 5.30pm for networking and refreshments, with keynote speakers from 6pm.

Please get in touch if you require a BSL interpreter.

If you are unable to attend this event but would still like to provide feedback on the Violence Reduction Strategy, please contact Lauren McSpadden, Community Safety Officer at [email protected].
