JMCE School of Diplomacy: Scientific Diplomacy

Government & Politics

JMCE NEXT-REL event with CONNECTS UK—Connecting European Communities Through Science In The UK

Join the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on Next Generation EU–UK Relations for another event in its School of Diplomacy series: Scientific Diplomacy, with CONNECTS-UK.

The JMCE NEXT-REL School of Diplomacy is a series of lectures given by academics or external speakers to diplomats and practitioners on the future of the relations between the EU and the UK in the financial, legal and political sphere that seeks to engage students, academics, the EU institutions, government officials, and other stakeholders.

CONNECTS-UK is a collaborative platform created in 2022 by the scientific diasporas of Finland, France, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Netherlands, and Spain in the UK, together with Native Scientists.

With financial support from the European Commission, Connects-UK aims to establish itself as a modern hub for science diplomacy. It is building on strong traditions of its member associations, who have been supporting EU-UK scientific relations for over 15 years and have forged connections with major organisations, such as the Embassies of EU Member States in the UK, and EU research institutions.

The event will be held in Room BH (SE) 1.01. An informal reception with drinks will follow, we encourage all attendees to stay, enjoy a drink and network after the lecture.
