United Nations Green, London's new landmark, deserves a welcome party so come and join us!
We invite you to join us in celebrating the arrival of the United Nations in the heart of London, between Westminster Abbey, the QE2 Centre and Methodist Central Hall Westminster which hosted the opening meeting of the United Nations General Assembly in January 1946.
Now, seventy-five years on, the government has agreed with us that London should join other cities linking somewhere by name to the United Nations. So let's celebrate together that our city's newest landmark links not to a conflict of the past but to a future of friendship and dialogue.
