The Handbag Factory
Launch Event at The Handbag Factory
We're excited to invite you to a launch event at our new creative coworking venue, The Handbag Factory, with an evening complete with live music, drinks, creative networking - and an exhibition opening to boot!
Come along on Thursday November 23rd to explore a selection of works by artists and makers across ASC Studios, in an exhibition that celebrates the architectural and design heritage of the building.
This event is also an opportunity to connect with not only the coworking community at The Handbag Factory, but also a wider network of local creative individuals, businesses, and organisations.
The ASC team will also be on hand to answer any questions you might have about coworking memberships, hiring the event space, or to show you around the building.
We hope you'll join us for this one-off occasion to share and connect with a new creative community in London!
How to find us
The Handbag Factory is easily accessible via the Northern and Victoria lines, a few minutes' walk from Kennington, Oval, and Vauxhall stations. Find us on Google Maps.
For access by bus, 196 (Elephant & Castle / Norwood Junction Station) stops close to the venue at Loughborough Street, with buses 36, 59, 159,185, 196, and 436 also a short distance away.
The ground floor of the venue is wheelchair-accessible with a ramp leading into the gallery space. Unfortunately we do not have wheelchair-accessible toilets and the upper floor meeting room and coworking desks are only accessible by staircase as we do not have a lift.
There is a disabled parking space outside the venue. There is no other street parking due to residential parking, however there are commercial parking spaces nearby including opposite the venue at a supermarket.
Please let us know if you have any questions regarding accessibility and our team will do our best to help: [email protected]
About The Handbag Factory
The Handbag Factory is a unique and affordable creative coworking space, including event hire and an art gallery. Launched in October 2023, it provides a community built for creative individuals, charities, collectives and non-profit organisations. Our memberships are offered exclusively to practitioners and teams in the arts and cultural sectors.
The space is managed by Artists Studio Company (ASC), a charity dedicated to providing affordable creative workspaces to artists and makers across London. ASC currently runs nine buildings, serving a community of over 800 artists and makers.
