Leading Without Formal Authority

Business & Professional

Discover innovative strategies for leading without formal authority at 'Leadership Generations' on Monday 4th December.

At the Centre for Responsible Leadership we believe leadership can be exercised from anywhere and that the best leaders inspire rather than coerce.

β€œLeading Without Formal Authority” is a one hour discussion in which Professor Celia Moore will talk to two leaders, Mary Meaney and Jack Blyzinskyj, who have achieved remarkable results within their communities, all without the crutch of formal authority or the means to reward.

The discussion will spotlight and unpack the leadership strategies which can be adopted by anyone, anywhere, to influence others around them to achieve shared goals and objectives, regardless of hierarchy or control over resources.

This is the first of three Leadership Generations events presented by the Centre for Responsible Leadership. Over the course of 2023 and 2024, the series will feature engaging fireside discussions with leaders from different generations, each showcasing distinctive leadership practices and fresh perspectives. These conversations will provide valuable insights into innovative approaches that can help challenge and evolve the existing norms and standards of leadership.

Whether you're a seasoned leader, an emerging leader, or simply passionate about making a difference, the Leadership Generations event series is your gateway to a more responsible and innovative approach to leadership.
