LGBTQ+ in Pensions: panel and networking

Business & Professional

A new initiative for LGBTQ+ pensions professionals and their allies.

Many sectors already have well-established professional networks for LGBTQ+ people and their allies. Isn't it about time the pensions industry caught up?

We are excited to announce a new LGBTQ+ in Pensions initiative, starting with a panel discussion and networking event on 23 January 2020 in London.

This is your invitation to come along to the event and show your support.

Taking part will be:

  • Mike Birch, Director of Supervision at the Pensions Regulator.
  • Joanna Matthews, independent trustee at Capital Cranfield.
  • Zoe Burdo, Consultant and D&I Coordinator at LCP.
  • Daniel Gerring, Partner, Head of Pensions and D&I Board member at Travers Smith.
  • Harpreet Boora, Associate at Allen & Overy.

The panel session will be chaired by diversity expert, Chris Edwards.

We are planning a wide-ranging discussion, from the challenges and benefits of establishing a network to the panel's personal experiences of working as LGBTQ+ professionals in pensions.

There will be plenty of drinks, canapΓ©s and networking after the panel - so come along, catch up with familiar faces and meet some new ones!

We will actively be seeking views on the new initiative and what its objectives should be.

If you would like to bring friends or colleagues in the pensions industry and/or with an interest in D&I or LGBTQ+ issues, please contact the organisers via Rachel Barnes ([email protected]).

We do hope you can join us on 23 January. Places are strictly limited, so please register on EventBrite to be sure of your booking.
