London Lives! The Architecture Art of Agustin Coll – PRIVATE VIEW

Performing & Visual Arts

Opening party of the exhibition 'London Lives! The Architecture Art of Agustin Coll' at Barbican Library with the artist.

London Lives! brings together the work of World Illustration Award shortlisted artist Agustin Coll at Barbican Library as part of the London Festival of Architecture.

Agustin's art likes to infuse architecture with a playful anthropomorphic quality that conveys his relationship with the built environment and those who inhabit it.

With the focus on his adopted home of London, this exhibition features his intricate and surreal technical drawings, as well as his heartfelt illustrations inspired by the idiosyncrasies of 21st century living.

Expect scythe-wielding cemeteries, guitar-riffing concert halls, stressed-out office blocks, homes in literal lockdown and more. Agustin’s art imbues the everyday urban landscape with an animated energy, truly giving the city a life of its own.
