In the context of the wider housing crisis is it time to consider the role of private rental in our City?
From opaque property management to dangerously low building conditions, there’s public discontent with the sector and there’s a widespread feeling that the rent market isn’t working.
Alicia Kennedy, director of the rental campaign Generation Rent, has said that “damp and unsafe homes were making too many private renters ill, and that an expensive winter would put people at greater risk.”
So how can policy change to improve this?
