In the context of the wider housing crisis is it time to consider the role of private rental in our City?
From opaque property management to dangerously low building conditions, thereโs public discontent with the sector and thereโs a widespread feeling that the rent market isnโt working.
Alicia Kennedy, director of the rental campaign Generation Rent, has said that โdamp and unsafe homes were making too many private renters ill, and that an expensive winter would put people at greater risk.โ
So how can policy change to improve this?
