London UK Aid Ninja Training

Charity & Causes

Are you interested in taking action to protect international development?

Media headlines are increasingly attacking UK overseas aid. We’re told that we can’t help people at home if we help people in need abroad, UK aid doesn’t work, and the British public don't support it. These messages then spread even further on social media, but they are simply not true.

It’s time to answer back. We’re pulling together a team of activists (codename: UK Aid Ninjas), to respond to these attacks effectively, and testify to the importance of UK aid.

We want to use the power of social and traditional media to challenge lazy clichés, educate misinformed critics, and amplify passionate and knowledgeable voices. We want to change the conversation on aid and development - so we're hosting a training for UK aid supporters.

You’ll learn the simple answers to seemingly complex questions, hear from people who work in the sector, find out how our team of UK Aid Ninjas will work, and meet like-minded people ready to stand up for aid!

Snacks and refreshments will be provided, we hope to see you there!

Is there a minimum age requirements to enter the event?

You must be 18 years old in order to attend this training. Unfortunately, we do not have childcare facilities available at this event so cannot cater for Under 18s.

Is there any financial support for travelling to the training?

We won't be able to cover travel for all attendees as the training will later be available online. However, if you'd like support with your travel costs please email [email protected] before the event.

Will there be any catering?

Unicef will be providing light refreshments and snacks at the event.

Who can I get in touch with for any questions?

Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions about attending.

What will I need to bring with me on the day?

Just any form of identification (ID) in order to gain entry to the venue. Your event registration information will be at the venue so there is no need to print or bring your ticket.

Do I need any previous knowledge on the subject of UK Aid, international development or social media?

Everyone is welcome and no prior experience is needed in order to attend our training days. This event is open to anyone who is keen to champion UK Aid and International development through social media.

Can I update my registration information?

We need to know who is planning on attending, to ensure we can properly plan our training days. If your attendance status changes, please change your information or re-register for another ticket.
