In the final event of the 2019/20 Midtown Big Ideas Exchange (MBIE) programme we will be focusing on SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. Cities are projected to grow across the globe over the coming years, and the growth they have seen in recent decades is already exponential. This degree of growth will need to be coupled with infrastructure innovations and sustainable solutions. Connectivity and changes in work habits will all impact how we engage with the place and environment we want to work in. What does this mean for business locations and organisational structures?
Midtown business leaders, planners and architects will discuss how to tackle the challenges of urbanisation and will explore what can be done to safeguard Londonβs position as an innovative business-hub as the population increases. What is the future of βbusiness as usualβ, and how can organisation in Midtown take full advantage of London's bright future?
β’ Why well-designed cities, properly executed, have a positive commercial benefit for their businesses
β’ How Midtown is helping to make London one of the worldβs most sustainable cities
β’ What smaller business can do to advocate for the kind of city they want
β’ As work habits change and the world becomes more digital, how can we maintain the value of community?
β’ What will drive the future prosperity of Midtownβs business community?
