For too long, peace and security spaces in the UK have neglected the voice and concerns of communities that are disproportionately impacted by the decisions made in these spaces.
Our work through MPS seeks to change this, by creating a network of solidarity and support that advocates for equality in these fields and intersectional approaches to policy challenges.
We want to create space for conversations between policymakers, activists, grassroots community organisers, so we can organise collectively and break down barriers, to platform issues that are a priority to our communities.
At the event we hope to re-launch our network, recruit new members, and disseminate our chapter in Routledgeβs Feminist Policymaking in Turbulent Times exploring the lived experience of minorities working in these fields to try and raise awareness of the commonalities between our experiences - and that we can work together to change things.
