Overview:
We will start with an overview of the Quorum architecture, detailing the transaction manager and showing how private transactions work in Quorum.
We will then demonstrate how to run a node on Quorum, explaining the requirements, the configuration parameters and showing a private transaction being created.

Presenter: Laurence Kirk
After a successful 15 year career writing low latency financial applications, Laurence moved to Oxford and set up Extropy.io, a consultancy working with start-ups in the UK and overseas, developing blockchain solutions. Laurence is also the co-founder of the popular workonblockchain.com blockchain developer bootcamp. Laurence graduated with a BSc in Physics from Durham University, and currently taking his MSc in Software Engineering at Oxford University. In addition to giving talks, mentoring at hackathons and running groups about blockchain technology and zero knowledge proof, Laurence also organises an Artificial Intelligence group in Oxford.
