We will start with an overview of the Quorum architecture, detailing the transaction manager and showing how private transactions work in Quorum.

We will then demonstrate how to run a node on Quorum, explaining the requirements, the configuration parameters and showing a private transaction being created.

If our delegates would like to follow along, you need to follow the instructions on if you are using Docker.

Presenter: Laurence Kirk

After a successful 15 year career writing low latency financial applications, Laurence moved to Oxford and set up, a consultancy working with start-ups in the UK and overseas, developing blockchain solutions. Laurence is also the co-founder of the popular blockchain developer bootcamp. Laurence graduated with a BSc in Physics from Durham University, and currently taking his MSc in Software Engineering at Oxford University. In addition to giving talks, mentoring at hackathons and running groups about blockchain technology and zero knowledge proof, Laurence also organises an Artificial Intelligence group in Oxford.
