Scaling Secure by Design: Architectural Thinking for Secure Design

Science & Technology

Information Security specialist group

SUMMARY

There has been a recent industry focus on Secure by Design, with overall principles and guidance on activities such as threat modelling.

However, there is a need for more focussed practices for more effective architectural thinking, as well as a consistent representation of architectural decisions to enable clear communication.

The session will discuss proven architectural thinking practices for secure design, which are essential for scaling from the smallest application to supporting mission-critical systems in a complex hybrid cloud setting.
