Please join our panel discussion on “Scaling up Sustainable Finance", which will be followed by networking drinks. – How is the Financial Sector considering Environmental, Social and Governance(ESG) Risks and Opportunities & How will it affect variety of sectors?
The momentum in the implementation of Sustainable Finance has grown considerably in recent years. The current status quo, however, is unlikely to deliver a successful transition to a more sustainable economic model. Considerable research has been carried out to suggest solutions that would facilitate the scale. For example, some of the proposed solutions include a timely and efficient shift to Capital Markets from Banks’ balance sheets or the Development of Sustainable Private Equity and Venture Capital.
What approaches do we see in the Financial Sector? How are they evolving? What risks can be hedged and how? Is there any preference currently for financing particular sectors? What is the role of the regulatory oversight in scaling up Sustainable Finance, especially considering the sheer volume of policies and regulations?
We will also hear an update on changes in pension trustees duties and their potential implication on scaling up Sustainable Finance
