Who We Are
Science London is a newly formed organisation - we are a space to explore and engage with ways to make science more equitable. Through bi-monthly workshops that open up difficult topics (accessibility, prejudice, barriers, monitoring and evaluation) and provide a safe space to explore them, we will begin to changeΒ science and science communication communities.Β
This event
For our first event, we are welcoming speaker, producer and consultant, Hana Ayoob who will discuss Barriers in Science Communication & Engagement.Β
What you can expect:
The diversity of our audiences, the diversity of the people communicating or engaging with them, and the diversity of those supporting science communication and engagement behind the scenes is all interlinked. Weβll talk through the different barriers affecting these three groups of people, discuss the impact this can have on our events and projects, and how we can all improve our science communication and engagement work.Β
Timings:Β
Doors will open at 5.45, workshop will run 6pm - 7.30pm.Β
Our Science London launch will follow directly after with drinks and nibbles from 7.30pm - 8.30pm. Book separately here.Β
