Sea-Change with Jessica Streeting

Performing & Visual Arts

Jessica Streeting will be in conversation discussing her poetic memoir of her childhood and her extraordinary father

Jessica Streeting‘s poetic memoir depicts her childhood, the Norfolk countryside, and her extraordinary father Paul Farnham. Jessica’s family moved to the deep countryside when he became rector of a village church. When she was 13 Paul drowned in a freak storm. Sea-Change is ‘beautifully sad’, according to Stephen Fry, who as a teenager was one of the locals Paul helped.

Jessica will be ‘in conversation’ with our own Rachel Papps Williams. The two have been friends since their formative nurse training at St Thomas’ Hospital. The book will be on sale.

Event organised by the Friends of Durning Library. Entry free. Refreshments (£3 donation towards costs).
