SLTN Forum 02: Emerging Tech in Medicine

Join us for the second of our SLTN Forum series - quarterly evening learning events, free for South London trainees (with dinner provided!), where we'll be inviting exciting speakers from across the medical landscape to share their expertise and join a discussion about training in the region.

On the 9th December we are going to be thinking about emerging technologies in health and how these are going to affect doctors, the practice of medicine, and the patient. We'll be discussing AI - does it have a place in the clinic? How can we prepare for an increasingly digital future?

Our panellists so far include:

  • Dr Harpreet SoodNHS England’s Associate Chief Clinical Information Officer
  • Dr Bilal Mateen - Fellow, Alan Turing Institute - the 'national institute for data science and artificial intelligence'

More speakers TBA!

A hot buffet dinner will be served after the talks, and the SLTN committee will hold a short open committee meeting at the end of the evening which all trainees are encouraged to attend.
