Tech Startups in the Pub

We are back!

Just like the old song says, you can’t keep a good thing down. And so it is, after the trials and tribulations of the pandemic, we have once again decided it's time to bring back the Friday Tech drinks. After too many awkward zoom quizzes and quiet nights in, we thought it was about time to resurrect this get-together. The tech startup ecosystem in London may have changed quite a lot since we last met, but what better reason to gather together once more, rekindle old friendships and create some new ones.

If you haven't been before, this is what it's all about:

While many co-working spaces run events for their members, and while there are many talks that attract people in a specific stage or role, it's nice to have a casual event that people can attend no matter where they are based, what stage their startup is at, or what their role is in the company. You could be a founder doing your first steps in the startup world and working from home, or a developer in a company that just made an exit and is based at the top of The Shard - everyone is welcome and we're sure everyone has something to learn and something they can share with others.

To keep things simple, we are heading back to The Windmill (27 Tabernacle St, Shoreditch, London EC2A 4DE) and will be there from 6pm on the 15th July. We hope to see you there! If you can’t make that, the aim is to have recurring drinks on the 3rd Friday of every month, so it's one for the diary!

HOUSE RULES

- let Oliver, Rob or other Rob know when you’ve arrived so we can introduce you to everyone. We are not booking the venue for ourselves, so if you showed up without introducing yourself you may find yourself spending half an hour celebrating someone’s birthday party before you realised you’re sitting with the wrong bunch.

- no hard sales, this is a friendly after-work tech drinks thing so no heavy-handed pitching

- if drinking is not your thing that's cool come and hang out anyway
