The Changing Nature of TV: How UK broadcasters can meet viewer expectations

Business & Professional

Monday 2nd December: Exclusive industry event, followed by drinks and networking

The way viewers access, consume and interact with TV continues to shift, creating significant technological and strategic challenges for broadcasters and content providers. As new services compete for viewers’ time and money, the nature of television itself is changing.

From production studios to boardrooms, media executives are asking how their services can meet viewers’ evolving expectations. But which new technologies need to be front of mind for decision makers in 2020? And while there is much focus on the US market, what are the priorities for services targeting viewers in European markets, including the UK?

The latest in a successful series of industry events, this MTM Forum is an opportunity for senior TV and video industry professionals to discuss the changing nature of TV consumption and what it means for broadcasters and content providers.

Jason Thibeault, Executive Director of the Streaming Video Alliance will be exclusively presenting key findings from new research, commissioned by CenturyLink, looking at how consumers across Europe are redefining TV. The topics and themes from the report will then be explored further in a panel discussion, moderated by MTM under Chatham House rules, and featuring Jason alongside senior executives from CenturyLink, a global OTT provider and a leading UK broadcaster.
