The Dolly Effect Launch Party

Performing & Visual Arts

From comedy to music, poetry to dancing, The Dolly Effect has been launched to shine a light on female voices and this is just the beginning

"Find out who you are. Then do it on purpose" β€” Dolly Parton.

Duzi Studio is a female led creative agency based at The Ministry.

Some of the most valuable and rewarding relationships we have built through design are those alongside, or in support of, other women.

For this evening, we have joined forces to reignite an initiative that was set up by The Ministry called 'The Dolly Effect' β€” giving mentorship to females, by females.

Coined 'The Dolly Effect' after Dolly Parton, a woman who is seen as an unexpected feminist icon for many β€” a hard worker, a vocal supporter of women, and altogether an empowering individual. As a pioneer for women in the music industry, she has made her mark on the world and her legacy will live on for years to come.

The purpose of this event is to launch a series at The Ministry, opening up The Dolly Effect to those beyond the space. We will be celebrating a range of voices throughout the evening, each interpreting a compelling and thought-provoking Dolly Parton quote.
