The future of young workers and Trade Unions

Other

Start the weekend with drinks and discussion to celebrate Young Workers’ Month - come and join Prospect and BECTU for a free evening of debate and conversation about the future of work and what this means for our union movement.

We are excited to announce our panel of speakers who all have first-hand experience of organising in the 21st century workplace:

Becky Wright is Executive Director of Unions 21, where she support unions to increase their influence, impact and effectiveness within the world of work. Becky has also been active in local community and women’s campaigns, worked for the TUC’s Organising Academy and has studied Contemporary European Labour Studies at Masters level at the Universiteit van Amsterdam.

Keith Flett is a Prospect union officer as well as a historian and a prolific letter writer in the British press. He has been active within our union for a number of years and has a wealth of experience gained from organising in a rapidly changing workplace.

**Further speakers to be announced**

The panel will be chaired by Rachel Lawrence, a member of our Young Professionals Network Committee.

There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and participate during the evening, followed by drinks and networking with fellow young workers from across London.
