The London Startup Scene - Networking and Open-Mic Pitching Event

The London Startup Scene is a monthly event that brings together hundreds of London startup founders, investors, and other industry professionals, and it's completely free to attend. Hosted by Foogin, the event is a great opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and build valuable networks in the startup community.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by Vasily Alekseenko, founder of Foogin, who will check you in and welcome you to the event. Vasily is passionate about bringing startup founders together and creating opportunities for them to connect and share ideas. He believes that building strong networks is essential to any startup's success, and he is committed to making this event a valuable resource for all attendees.

• We are expecting over 200 attendees, with 60% of them being founders, 15% investors, and 25% other industry professionals.
• Founders and investors will have the opportunity to do a one-minute pitch during the event (see the details below).

We understand the challenges that early-stage startups face and we want to create a level playing field for all attendees.

Whether you're a founder looking for funding, an investor seeking new opportunities, or simply an industry professional looking to connect with others in the startup community, The London Startup Scene is the place to be.

Open Mic Pitching Rules:

• To participate in the Open Mic Pitching sessions, you must be a founder, work for a startup, or be an investor.
• Each pitch should be no longer than one minute.
• Submissions will be accepted between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm. The first pitch will begin promptly at 7:00 pm, and the final pitch will conclude before 9:30 pm.
• 2-3 startups will be able to do 1-min pitch every 20 minutes, resulting in approximately 20 pitching sessions in total. Networking opportunities will be available during intervals between sessions.
• The selection of speakers will be randomized for each session of the night.

Important notice:

We take great pride in the high-quality connections that our events offer. We have a fair number of tickets available for the entire startup community, including founders, startup employees, investors, and others (students, accountants, lawyers, aspiring entrepreneurs, and other companies servicing startups).

Please only book tickets that are applicable to you. We will verify each booking, and if your social profile does not match the tickets you have booked, we may cancel your booking.

Just to clarify, when we say startups, we mean scalable businesses looking for investments now or planning to start soon. For example, if you are a self-employed marketing specialist, please register as "Other" rather than as a "Founder".

Vasily is a passionate wellness advocate on a personal quest to transform lives. Despite holding an economist degree, Vasily has always been driven by a strong passion for all things health-related. Over the last two decades, he has conducted extensive research, experiments, and personal experiences in the areas of mental health, healthy eating, meditation, and the role of cold exposure and blood circulation in strengthening the immune system.

Vasily strongly believes that each person has the potential to become the best version of themselves, and he seeks to raise wellness awareness in individuals, enabling them to achieve a more fulfilling and healthy life. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, a husband, and a dog owner, Vasily has never quite felt like he fit in.
