The Pantry by St Giles - Open Afternoon

Charity & Causes

Please join us for an open afternoon of free coffee, tea and snacks to celebrate our new permanent home for The Pantry by St Giles

The Camberwell Pantry will soon move into a permanent home right next to our HQ at Georgian House. To celebrate we are hosting an open afternoon with free teas, coffees and snacks on Saturday, 9th July 11am – 2pm.

The event is free and open to all - if you are local to Camberwell please do pop in for an informal chat, coffee and some delicious snacks.

It will be an opportunity to hear from staff and volunteers working at The Pantry - a service anchored in the Camberwell community that provides a local lifeline for those struggling to make ends meet.

What is The Pantry?

The Pantry is a food hub with a difference based in the heart of Camberwell. We offer an emergency safety net and a sustainable route out of poverty within six months.

Since April 2020 our Camberwell Pantry has helped over 300 local families access nutritious, affordable food with wraparound practical support that provides a sustainable route out of food poverty.

Many of the families we support are trapped in low paid jobs. For them, The Pantry has been a lifeline in keeping them and their families healthy and sustained whilst receiving added support from Peer Advisors, people who have lived experience of complex disadvantage who work at the Pantry.

The Pantry will continue to be a local community lifeline and we would love for you to come drop in and celebrate the opening of our brand new premises.

Free and open to all, please register your interest so we have enough snacks!
