The Sarabande Mayfair Takeover: Berke Yazicioglu at House of Bandits

Bringing Sarabande to the artistic forefront, the Sarabande pop-up store 'House of Bandits' will serve as the central hub for Sarabande artists for 3 glorious months.The store and gallery space will sell work a range of work by the 100 artists and designers that the Foundation has supported to date. The name itself was created by Foundation ambassador, journalist Tim Blanks who coined the term ‘Sarabandits’ for the Foundation’s ‘renegade’ alumni. 

On 22nd October, from 17:00 to 19:00pm, our artist-in-residence Berke Yazicioglu will be taking over House of Bandits with his world of graphic design, visual music and ornate tapestries.

Berke creates his visual interpretation of Igor Strakovsky's ballet composition 'The Rite of Spring', intertwined with themes of censorship and desire, with ideas of ritual and pagan folklore embedded within his large-scale pieces. From the studios to the streets of Mayfair and into House of Bandits, Berke will be engaging in colourful conversation...so if you are a fan of Berke, the arts, and all in between, you know what to do!

So, mark the date in your calendars, make your way to Mayfair and step into House of Bandits...
