Want to join a brand new community of like-minded individuals who are looking to revolutionise the MEPH Industry?

Look no further.....

Here at TICKLE we are passionate about Sustainability, Innovation, Renewable Energy,Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Development and have decided to host a series of events where key stakeholders from the MEPH Industry can become part of this community. We will regularly come together for evenings of knowledge sharing, education, discussion and networking.

Along with the manufacturers we work with, we will be sharing our knowledge of the Science of Sustainability along with our vision for embracing The Circular Economy, CSR, Sustainable Development and Innovation and the frontier technologies that are turning waste to wealth, all within the MEPH industry.

CSR and the Sustainable Development Goals - From Global to Local

Having been the orchestrator of the many challenges humanity now faces, countries around the world are now responsible for finding solutions to these global issues.

The Sustainable Development Goals, adopted by the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in September 2015, contained 17 global goals, such as β€œno poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, and affordable and clean energy”.

Collective efforts to address these issues can be triggered by individuals with innovative ideas and the support of the private and/or public sector. WE wish to become those individuals and we would LOVE for you to join us.

The first event will take place on Thursday 17th October from 5.30pm to 9pm at Lift Islington.

Lift Islington is a healthy living community hub housed in a former Victorian School. It’s a centre for health activities but young people can also come for personal help with apprenticeships, college applications, CVs, looking for work, volunteering or developing projects. They also have opportunities to develop skills and experience for employment.

Lift also supports with advice and guidance on personal issues, lifestyle decisions and sexual health.

The hub is funded by Islington Council and from income generated by hiring out the spaces to local businesses and organisations when it is not being used by young people.

We thought it would be a great opportunity to focus on Corporate Social Responsibility, the local community and the younger generation.

There is the added benefit of being able to discuss internships, apprenticeships and training opportunities to the members at the centre who we plan to invite along, we also plan to engage with various Young Engineers Network representatives to support this.

The Centre also offers catering for events, so we will be sourcing the canapes through them which also supports the Lift Kitchen which is run by a professional chef who is supported by young apprentices who are working towards NVQs.
