Workshop: writing a winning facilities management award entry

Business & Professional

With the 2020 IWFM and PFM awards open for entry early in the new year, now’s the time to start thinking about your winning award submission. But how do you make your entry stand out from the crowd? In this free, interactive workshop, FM awards writing specialists Magenta Associates, who have helped many organisations reach the winners’ podium, will offer practical advice on:

1. Choosing the most suitable category to enter
2. Engaging your client in the process
3. Structuring your entry
4. Telling a compelling story
5. Using photography, graphics and video to enhance your submission
6. Getting top marks at the presentation stage
7. Making the most of being a finalist
8. Post-event publicity

Join Magenta’s MD Jo Sutherland, who has written numerous successful awards entries, former IWFM Awards judge Cathy Hayward and creative director Mark Parry, and learn how to write an unbeatable award submission. At the same time, you'll hear from a previous winner about their experience of going through the process, what it felt like on the night and the impact on the business afterwards.

Agenda:
4pm: arrival, refreshments and networking
4.30pm: introduction from Jo Sutherland, MD, Magenta
4.45pm: The 2020 IWFM and PFM Awards
5pm: The winner's experience – hear from a previous award winner about the process of entering the awards, what it felt like on the night and the impact on their business
5.15pm: Writing a winning award entry
5.45pm: Additional Q&A and discussion
6pm: networking
6.30pm: guest departure
